An indoor market with a roughly 150 stalls at capacity,
Spitalfields was famously revamped in 2003 and many feel it lost some of its down-
to-earth charm. But beyond the chain restaurants and smart boutiques that now flank
its innards, the heart still beats.
There are a number of great stalls
selling local fashion, art, music, and bric-a-brac, and the street food is on par
with other London markets too.
Head down on Thursday for antiques, Friday
for fashion and art, Saturday for a themed market, and the rest of the week for a
bit of everything.
